Samsung Electronics unveils new multifunction printer software development kit

South Korean electronics giant Samsung Electronics Co. on Monday released the latest version of its Samsung Printing Smart UX Center (Smart UX Center) software update kit, an android-based software platform for its corporate-use multifunction printers, to enable software developers to freely change printer functions based on customized needs of the office equipment users. 

The new software update for the multifunction printer (MFP) allows software engineers to easily integrate printer functions with a smartphone application through an upgraded compatibility with mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. 

The Samsung Smart UX Center is a system through which a Samsung MFP user can edit lengthy and complex documents and images on the office machine without transferring data back and forth to a computer for the editing work, on top of maneuvering general functions such as copying, scanning, and faxing documents. Also, the Smart UX Center enables users to customize user interfaces such as font type and size, and document style based on one’s job requirement.
